Lots of interest is being shown by potential buyers of an historic building in the centre of Highbridge which has been put up for auction at a price of up to £100,000.
Bradbury House at 33 Market Street was formerly home to Lloyds Bank and more recently was the headquarters of the National Blind Children’s Society until it moved out earlier this month.
The prominent property has a guide price of £75,000 to £100,000 and will go under the hammer by regional auctioneers Clive Emson during September.
Spread over three floors in Highbridge town centre, the property is being promoted as a ‘substantial office building with development potential’.
Graham Barton, an auctioneer at the firm who is also known for being a regular presenter on BBC1’s Homes Under The Hammer, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have had lots of interest in this property.”
“Some potential buyers are intending to use the whole building while others are considering sub-dividing it into accommodation.”
“It has been priced to attract attention. It is in a prominent position in the centre of Highbridge and is a feature property. As a former bank, it includes a secure concrete-lined safe in the middle where valuables were stored.”
The auction will take place on September 17th at St Mellion Resort near Plymouth.
