Burnham-On-Sea’s MP and Mayor have this week given their support to members of Mark Youth Theatre group as they hold final rehearsals for their performance of Alice in Wonderland in the town.
Tessa Munt visited the group this week, as pictured above, and wished them well as they prepare to hold several performances of the hit production over three days at Burnham’s Princess Theatre.
The curtain will rise at 7.30pm on Thursday 17th March and then repeat shows will be held on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th, with an extra matinee performance at 2.30pm on the Saturday.
Members of the cast dressed in their costumes walked around Burnham this week, handing out leaflets, and they also met the town’s Mayor and Mayoress.
Mark Youth Theatre Chairman Paul Impey told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Preparations for the show are virtually complete and rehearsals are going great. We move into the theatre for final rehearsals this Sunday.”
“The members are very excited as there are just a few days to go. The tickets are on sale now and are selling well so people should buy their ticket now to avoid disappointment.”
Tickets are priced at £7 for adults, £5 for concessions and £20 for family tickets (available Thursdays and Fridays only – 2 adults, 2 concessions).
Tickets are available from Mark Village Store, Burnham’s Cottage Cafe in College Street or by calling Alison Wilkinson on 01278 641541.
