Naval officer has nostalgic link with his new Highbridge home

-

Mark has just moved into a new property at Taylor Wimpey’s Withycombe Meadow development, which is built on the site of the old Portishead Radio Station which Mark, a Naval Warrant Officer, communicated through when he was out at sea on naval ships in the 1970s and 1980s.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s quite fitting that I now live on the site of the old radio station that I used to communicate with. Whenever we were at sea and wanted to call home, we had to go through the Portishead Radio Station – so it’s lovely to have a nostalgic connection to our new home.”

Mark and his wife Kelly moved into their property a couple of weeks ago and are now settled in and enjoying their new home.

He added: “I was brought up in Burnham-On-Sea and my family live close by, so Withycombe Meadow is perfectly located for us to keep in contact with relatives, whilst being close to the seaside too.”
