A free festive carol concert will be held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove this Saturday (November 23rd).
Sedgemoor District Council and the Friends of Marine Cove are holding the event at 1.30pm.
The King Alfred School Youth Band will be at the seafront gardens playing a selection of Christmas Carols.
“There will be free mulled wine and soft drinks, a raffle and song sheets on-hand so everyone can join in and take part in a festive-themed garden treasure hunt with a sweet gift for those who take part,” said a spokesman.
There will also be the chance to meet with Sedgemoor’s Community Gardener, Jacqui Strong and the volunteers to discuss the gardens and upcoming events.
The event will lead into Burnham’s Christmas lights switch-on in Victoria Street, with entertainment getting underway from 2.30pm and a festive outdoor market taking place from 10am-6pm with the switch-on itself at 4.45pm, as featured here.
