A local runner who is in training to take part in this year’s London Marathon will be holding an unusual fundraising event in East Huntspill this weekend.
Gary Bowden, who is running the London Marathon on 17th April for Clic Sargent, is collecting sponsorship and will also be holding a mouse racing evening on Saturday evening (2nd April) at East Hunstpill Village Hall.
Tickets, priced £5 each, are available in advance from Gary by calling 01934 750631 and will include a light supper. Doors will open at 7pm and the event will be suitable to children.
“All monies from the fundraising will go towards CLIC Sargent’s ‘Especially For You Fund’, which has been set up for Ellen Frost, a family friend’s daughter,” Gary told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
