At first glance, it appeared that a major fire incident was underway in Burnham-On-Sea’s Manor Gardens on Wednesday evening (June 13th), yet in fact there was no need for concern.
The two fire engines and rescue Land Rover from Burnham Fire Station were taking part in a pre-planned training exercise.
“The Manor House was used to train several of our crew in using breathing apparatus in enclosed spaces and darkness. The exercise went really well and we thank the owner for letting us use the building,” said a spokesman.
