Man arrested by Burnham-On-Sea Police as they investigate thefts

-

Burnham-On-Sea Police have this week arrested a man following a spate of thefts from homes in the town.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, a Police spokesman said a 41 year-old man had been arrested as they investigate five thefts from insecure properties in the town.

“The man is alleged to have been entering homes through unlocked doors before taking valuables such as handbags and other personal items,” said the spokesman.

“It serves as a timely reminder for Burnham and Highbridge residents to keep doors securely locked.”

“Close and lock all windows and doors, even if just out in the garden. Remove window and door keys from the locks, and store them out of reach and away from your letterbox.”

“Also, keep valuables out of sight, along with any visible signs including charging cables. Hide the keys to your vehicle.”
