Burnham-On-Sea student’s career ambitions get off to a flying start

-

A Burnham-On-Sea student’s hopes of fulfilling her ambitions of becoming an airline pilot soared on Thursday (August 18th) when she received her A level results.

Madison Brown, 18, from Lawrence Close in Burnham, is a high flier in more ways than one.

She picked up three A’s in Maths, Further Maths and Accountancy at Weston College.

Madison, pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’m so pleased because I thought I might get ABC. I’d love to be an airline pilot and I’m hoping to train at Oxford Aviation Academy.”

Weston College Principal Dr Paul Phillips congratulated her, saying: “It’s wonderful to be able to celebrate academic success and I know how much effort, commitment and dedication has gone into achieving these results,” he said.

Madison and many other A-Level students at Weston College celebrated after the release of some outstanding results. There were further celebrations at Highbridge’s King Alfred School, as we reported here.
