Two people were injured in a crash that closed the M5 motorway on Sunday night (September 29th).
Motorists travelling southbound along the M5 from Burnham-On-Sea encountered long delays following the accident involving a motorcycle.
Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Police were called shortly after 7pm to a collision on the M5 where a bike rider and a passenger were injured. They were taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton with leg injuries.”
The southbound carriageway between junctions 23 for Highbridge and 24 at Huntworth was closed for five hours until midnight, causing long queues back to Burnham.
Long queues developed in the area, with some motorists suffering delays of over an hour and a half.
