A serious crash involving three vehicles caused major traffic delays on the M5 motorway near Burnham-On-Sea today (Monday).
Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious collision which closed two lanes of the southbound carriageway between junction 21 for Weston-super-Mare and junction 22 for Burnham-On-Sea.
One lane of the northbound carriageway was also closed due to the incident leaving debris across the road surface.
The crash happened at around midday and caused major Easter Monday travel delays in both directions for three hours.
Several ambulances, police and Highways Agency staff were at the scene, as pictured here.
