Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackled a car fire on the M5 motorway on Tuesday evening (January 20th).
Two fire engines from Burnham and one pump from Weston were called out at 7.30pm after the vehicle was seen well alight on the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 at Burnham and 21 at Weston.
“On arrival, the crews found the car to be well alight and they quickly got the car fire under control using compressed air foam and a hose reel jet,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added that the cause of the fire was electrical and that no people were injured in the fire.
