Traffic on the M5 motorway between Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater was reduced to a crawl for several hours on Monday (May 18th) after an accident.
One lane was closed on the southbound carriageway after a portable cabin came off a lorry between junction 22 at Burnham and junction 23 for Bridgwater North.
It came to the rest on the hard shoulder, as pictured here.
A police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was blown off the lorry, leaving a lot of debris over the road.”
“This caused tailbacks of traffic and we helped with traffic management.”
Specialist recovery vehicles were brought in to remove the debris. No-one was hurt.
