A motorist was treated for head injuries following an accident on the M5 near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday afternoon (June 17th).
Fire and ambulance crews were called to the northbound carriageway of the motorway at 4.10pm after a car hit the central reservation.
One fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea plus two from Bridgwater attended the accident, which occurred between junction 22 at Burnham and junction 23 for Highbridge.
“One person inside the car suffered head injuries which were not believed to be serious,” ambulance spokesman Dave Rogers told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The accident led to long queues of rush-hour traffic building up.
