Traffic on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea was reduced to a crawl on Friday morning (July 11th) following an accident.
A Volkswagen Convertible collided with the central reservation and flipped over at 7.35am, leading to delays for motorists on the southbound carriageway.
“The incident occurred half a mile north of Sedgemoor Services between junctions 21 and 22 going southbound but did not block any lanes,” police spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added: “There were not believed to have been any serious injuries.”
Police, paramedics and two fire crews from Burnham were called to the scene.
