Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on the M5 motorway which caused miles of queues between Burnham-On-Sea and Weston on Friday afternoon (July 4th).
Police, fire crews and three ambulances were called to the collision, which involved five cars on the northbound carriageway at 1.25pm.
Crews said all three lanes of the motorway were blocked and the carriageway was temporarily closed while recovery of the vehicles took place.
An ambulance spokeswoman told Burnham-On-Sea.com that two people with “non-life threatening injuries” were taken to Weston General Hospital.
