Tributes have been paid to a popular Burnham-On-Sea driving instructor and football club treasurer who has died this week.
Lorraine Dibble, 49, was found at her home in Burnham on Sunday.
Scores of tributes have been paid to her on Burnham-On-Sea.com’s forums and Facebook by shocked pupils, friends and family.
Lorraine was a familiar sight about the Burnham area in her black mini which she used to teach many students to drive.
She was also a very active, popular treasurer at Burnham United Football Club. The club issued a statement this week saying: “Everyone at BUFC sends their condolences to family and friends of treasurer Lorraine Dibble following the very sad news of her death.”
Lorraine was also a member of Burnham’s former Aces Carnival Club for many years, where she was also treasurer. After leaving school she worked in a record shop in Market Street, Highbridge, and later worked for FF&F.
The West Somerset coroner said an inquest into her death is due to be opened soon.
