A local fashion show was held in aid of Weston Hospicecare by Wedmore Friends of Weston Hospicecare and staged by a fashion charity.
The event, held on Saturday April 12th, was held at Wedmore Village Hall with 82 ladies entertained by Colours, a national fashion charity.
Chair of the Friends Shirley Wederell said was the fifth fashion show that the Friends have held and a very special year as it is the 10th anniversary year since she founded the Friends.
“A very big thank you to the Friends team who are ‘the best in the west’ for all that they do to support every event held, it is hard work but well worth it. The Friends have 3 other
events planned for this year.”
“Special thanks go to so many sponsors of the show and especially to Wayne for the china, cutlery and glasses, Rodda’s Creamery for the cream and jam, Blue Diamond Origins Patisserie for the wonderful scones and Wedmore Paper Shop for selling the tickets.”
After expenses £1,897 will be used to purchase a cuddle mattress for the In-Patient unit at the Hospice.
