The final results have been announced for Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s local elections.
Voters went to the polls across the area on Thursday (May 2nd) to vote for their choice of councillors in the district and town council elections. Â
The results were counted on Friday in Bridgwater, as pictured here, with the Conservatives retaining overall control of the Town Council and District Council.
Nationally, the Conservatives and Labour faced a backlash at the ballot box over Brexit, with smaller parties and independents picking up seats countrywide.
