Scores of local people flocked to Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club’s inaugural Fun Day, which was held in the town’s Manor Gardens on Sunday afternoon (July 20th).
The five-hour event included a range of entertainment, games and stalls including displays by Chameleon Batonettes, Wessex Ambulance, the Catherine Bartlet Irish dancers, dog handling group Canine Capers, a special drama performance by Curtain Call and the Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES).
Among the local groups with stalls were Burnham Scouts, Hillview Carnival Club, the RSPCA, Secret World, Somerset Court, St Margaret’s Hospice, Burnham Coastguards and the RNLI.
Andrew Bryant, President of Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a very successful day, considering this was the first event of its kind. We had great weather and saw plenty of visitors.”
