Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club has thanked shoppers this week for giving thousands of pounds to their Christmas appeal.
The Lions team collected at Asda in Highbridge plus Tesco and Lidl in Burnham in the run-up to Christmas, raising over £2,000.
“Burnham Lions Club raised an incredible £2,250 from the very generous people of Burnham and the surrounding area at our local supermarkets,” said Colin Holdom.
“Every penny raised from public collections goes to support local people in need, local organisations and local charities, and nothing is taken out for administration whatsoever.”
