Festive fundraising brings in cash for local groups and charities
Hundreds of pounds was raised for local groups and charities at a popular Christmas bazaar held in Burnham-On-Sea this week.
The event, run by Burnham and District Lions Club, attracted crowds of visitors to the town’s Methodist Church in College Street.
A wide variety of items were sold, including greetings cards and gifts, on more than a dozen stalls from local groups and charities including the Children’s Hospice, Guide Dogs for the Blind, RNLI, Somerset Court and St Margaret’s Hospice.
Organiser John Hodgson – pictured above with fellow organisers Wyn Davies and Keith Conway during the event – said it had been a great success and would likely become an annual event in the Lions Club’s calendar.
