Burnham-On-Sea Lions have this week handed over £1,700 to a group of local good causes.
Members of the club gave out four bumper cheques during their annual presentation night, which was held at The Oaktree Arena on Wednesday evening (February 2nd).
Burnham Infants School received £100, Brass 4 Youth received £100 and Burnham transplant athlete Romana Winston got £500 and the town’s RNLI received £1,000.
Burnham Lions spokesman Les Barber told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The money has been collected from various fundraising events over the year, including bucket collections at local supermarkets. We were delighted to hand over these donations to four good causes.”
