Fire crews rescued five people from a lift at a Burnham-On-Sea block of flats on Tuesday (August 5th).
Two fire engines from Burnham were called to Allandale Court in Rectory Road at just before 2.30pm.
“Three adults and two children who were visiting relatives in the building were trapped inside the lift which had stopped in between the floors,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Crews released the five people by using small tools to winch the lift up to the next floor.
“The five were rather hot after being stuck in the lift together but were otherwise unharmed,” added the spokesman.
Several similar lift rescues occurred there last year.
