Local lifeboats supporter to run Bristol half marathon for charity

-

A local man will be pulling on his running shoes to take part in a half marathon this autumn.

Steve Quinton has entered the Bristol Half Marathon on 11th September, and will be raising money for RNLI Lifeguards.

Steve’s wife volunteers at the Burnham-On-Sea RNLI shop and Steve has this week been given a VIP tour of the station and met members of the crew.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have always felt great admiration and respect for the work of the RNLI.”

“My wife Ann helps out in the Burnham shop and so it’s high time that I played a small part by trying to raise some money by running the Bristol Half Marathon in support of the charity. We hope to never need the help from this great service but are only too grateful that it is there should the need arise!”

Donations can be made via his fund-raising website here.
