“The incident had been reported by an alert member of the public, who said the craft was in difficulties and drifting downstream on the falling tide,” an RNLI spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The crew proceeded upstream until they spotted the craft firmly high and dry on muddy river’s edge, and the owner walking back along the bank.”
Having established that the owner was in no danger and that the casualty vessel was securely anchored, the lifeboat crew returned to Burnham for recovery and wash-down.
