Lidl says its store in Burnham-On-Sea is set to close for a week to allow a refurbishment.
To facilitate the refurbishment works at the store in Burnham’s Oxford Street, it will be closed from 6pm on Saturday 30th October, with a view to reopening on Monday 8th November.
Lidl GB’s Regional Head of Property, Glen Stidever, commented: “We’re pleased to be able to refurbish our Burnham-On-Sea store, so that we may bring the local community an even greater instore shopping experience and provide improved welfare facilities for our employees.”
“We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding whilst we undertake these improvement works.”
He adds that customers can continue to have access to the supermarket’s produce at its nearest alternative store, Gallagher Retail Park in Bridgwater.
Staff working at the supermarket will be reassigned to nearby Lidl stores until work is complete.
The refurbishment forms part of the company’s ongoing £1.3bn investment across the country during 2021 and 2022.
