Shoppers have donated hundreds of pounds to Burnham-On-Sea’s rescue hovercraft charity BARB during a collection at a supermarket in the town.
Volunteers from BARB were invited to carry out two days of collections outside Lidl’s store in Oxford Street.
A BARB spokesman said: “We are very grateful for the support shown by customers and Lidl’s staff. We are delighted to have collected a sum of £625 towards the ever-increasing costs of keeping our hovercraft running and crew trained.”
