A week of events at Burnham-On-Sea library to mark National Libraries Day will culminate with a day of fun-filled activities this Saturday (February 8th).
Storytelling for children plus crafts and jewellery making for adults took place on Monday, as pictured here, in the run-up to National Libraries Day this Saturday.
Anyone who takes out three books on Saturday will be entered into a regional free prize draw to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and a range of DVDs.
Saturday’s event will also see free refreshments, parchment sculpting plus half-price DVD loans.
Now in its third year, National Libraries Day is part of a national celebration of libraries and library staff. It is held during a week’s worth of events and activities in public, school, college, university, and workplace libraries highlighting their work promoting learning, literacy and the enjoyment of reading to all.
