Burnham-On-Sea library will be marking National Libraries Day on Saturday (February 7th) with several fun-filled activities.
The day-long event at the library in Princess Street will be held from 9.30 am – 1pm.
The library will be offering a parchment making demonstration during the morning from 10am to 1pm.
There will also be half-price DVD hire, a ‘Name the Library Bear’ competition, two free reservations when placed in the library, a lucky dip and Matt the Storyteller from Storyfeet (pre-booking required) for children aged six years and above.
Now in its fourth year, National Libraries Day is part of a national celebration of libraries and library staff.
It is held during a week’s worth of events and activities in public, school, college, university, and workplace libraries highlighting their work promoting learning, literacy and the enjoyment of reading to all.
