A large group of more than 20 travellers has moved onto a field opposite Burnham-On-Sea’s Tesco store.
The convoy of caravans and towing vehicles had been pitched up outside the ‘Works 22’ factory units in Bennett Road over the weekend but moved from there to Burnham on Monday following the threat of legal action.
The owner of the field, which runs alongside Ben Travers Way and Queens Drive, has begun the legal process of moving them on.
Meanwhile, the owner of Highbridge factory units has started a clean-up operation and has parked several lorries across its entrances to secure its car park, as pictured below.
