Thirty of the UK’s top sand yachting enthusiasts are in action on Brean beach this weekend when they compete in the British Land Yachting Championships.
The two-day event is being overseen by Brean Land Yacht Club and will be held on Saturday 23rd February and Sunday 24th during the third round of the British Championships.
Racing is scheduled to start at 11am on Saturday and at 10am on Sunday, weather permitting.
During ideal conditions, the yachts speed across the sand at up to 60mph, making the event quite a spectacle to watch.
