Dozens of lambs stolen in night time theft near Burnham-On-Sea

Police have appealed for help in finding thieves who stole a field of lambs near Burnham-On-Sea this week.

Officers have warned farmers in the area to be extra vigilant after the incident in East Huntspill early on Monday morning (June 8th).

Police spokesman Stephen Weatherhill told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are investigating the theft of between 25 and 30 lambs aged about four months which were stolen from a field in East Huntspill at about 1am on June 8th.”

“If anyone has any information, please call Bridgwater Police on 101 and quote crime reference 60615/15.”

There have been several similiar incidents across Somerset in recent weeks where sheep and lambs have been stolen.
