The final sum raised for charity during a night of entertainment at a Burnham-On-Sea club was more than £1,600, it has been confirmed this week.

Tich and Sue Williams, the managers of Lakeside in Westfield Road, organised the special evening of music, comedy and magic in aid of the Somerset-based charity, St Margaret’s Hospice.

Scores of supporters filled the main hall to enjoy the evening – and help contribute to a huge sum of £1,624.

Vikki Driscoll and Martin James are shown performing a magic trick; while vocalist Clare demonstrated her golden voice (top), and Vikki Driscoll is also pictured playing the electric violin.

Seen with the bumper charity cheque below are (front) Vikki Driscoll and vocalist ‘Clare’ alongside (rear) Sue and Tich Williams, and Sue Medicott from St Margarets Hospice, Buster the comedian, and compere / magician Martin James.

“Buster, the comedian, really was on to form and everyone had a great night. It was a great that such a large sum was raised for such a great cause,” said one of the organisers.

St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice is a local charity that’s committed to providing specialist care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring areas.
