A popular Italian restaurant in Burnham-On-Sea town centre has re-opened this week following an £85,000 refurbishment.
La Vela in Abingdon Street has opened its doors after a two-month makeover that has seen it introduce a new look as well as a new menu.
The restaurant’s manager Roj Koch, pictured outside, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We’ve made a number of exciting improvements to make the restaurant even better.”
“We’ve introduced air conditioning, brought in new furniture, added a new entrance porch to minimise drafts, and added expanded the seating so that it now comfortably sits 80 people. Our brick pizza oven has always been a real feature and more has been made of it to show it off.”
He added: “Our menu has also changed to include steaks, fish and chicken dishes alongside our popular pizzas.”
Owner George Panayi, who also runs Burnham’s Skye Bar, added: “They are exciting times for La Vela – this super restaurant just got better!”
