Brean bar gives Burnham’s marine rescue services a boost

-

All three of Burnham-On-Sea’s marine rescue services have benefited from a year of fundraising at a Brean bar.

Krackers held raffles, music nights and even a sponsored ‘shootout’ during the village’s recent country and western festival to raise a total of £2,100 for Burnham’s BARB, RNLI and Coastguard Association.

Krackers’ Mark Roberts presented £700 to each of the organisations during a function on Friday night. He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Our customers have had a lot of fun raising this money and we’re delighted to see it going to three very good causes.”

BARB operates Burnham’s two rescue hovercrafts, while the RNLI operates two lifeboats and the Coastguard Association looks after serving and former Coastguards.
