Colourful kites filled the skies over Berrow beach at the weekend when Beachside Holiday Park hosted a kite festival.
The organisers of Burnham-On-Sea’s Kite Festival teamed up with the holiday park to hold the event on Saturday September 8th and Sunday 9th.
Crowds of people flocked to the beach to fly a kite and see a display various flying shapes and characters.
Amarinth, a 50ft high dragon kite, was among the highlights during the weekend.
“There are only five of these dragons in the world and this one made its first flight in the UK in May, so we were delighted to have it along,” said organiser Gaynor Brown, who added the weekend had been successful.
Vistors also enjoyed a ‘bouncy castle city’ in the field above the beach and stalls, displays and a ‘Learn to Fly’ area.
At Beachside Holiday Park, novice kite flyers could try out their skills before making their way to the main display field.
