Pupils at Highbridge’s King Alfred School Academy launch ‘prelove prom’ shop

-

Three sixth-form students at King Alfred School Academy have set up a ‘prelove prom’ shop, a small non-profit organisation with all proceeds going to charity.

Lily Keeley Watts, Ella-Rose Dollery and Millie Hale have asked ex-students and current sixth formers to donate their gowns and suits to the sixth form.

The idea is that the dresses or suits can be rented out to current students or anyone connected with the school for events, and that any money made goes to a charity of the sixth form’s choosing.

There will be a pop-up ‘Prelove Prom’ shop on 19th February from 10am-12pm at the Academy and anyone not able to attend can also make contact to view the dresses and suits at another time.

Student Welfare Manager Suzanne Lawrence added: “We still require dresses, suits and clutch bags so any donations would be greatly appreciated!”

“As well as ex-school students donating, Priory Community School Academy and Worle Community School Academy students are more than welcome to donate and attend the prelove prom pop-up shop.”
