Fuel price concerns raised during Minister’s visit to Highbridge firm

-

A government transport minister visited a Highbridge haulage firm on Thursday (April 25th), where its bosses aired their concerns about the instability in fuel prices.

The Secretary of State for Transport Patrick McLoughlin visited RT Keedwells on Highbridge’s Walrow Industrial Estate.

He met Managing Director Stuart Keedwell and Commercial Director Jon White and was accompanied by James Heappey, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for the Wells constituency.

Jon told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was good to meet the Minister and talk through our growth plans plus our concerns about the instability in fuel prices.”

“The ever-changing fuel prices are a real challange for a haulage business like this.”

“We gave the Minister a tour of our premises and also discussed with him how, after a difficult year, we are confident for the future.”

James Heappey added: “It was great to have Patrick visit our area today and for him to hear about this successful, growing Highbridge haulage firm.”
