Burnham-On-Sea’s oldest resident has celebrated her 105th birthday this week.
Katie Owen marked her very special day with friends and residents at Broughton Lodge residential care home in Berrow Road, Burnham.
The spritely pensioner received a traditional telegram from The Queen, and enjoyed a birthday celebration.
She has been living in her own flat there for six years after moving from The Midlands to be nearer her family.
Katie was born and lived in Barmouth, Wales, before moving to Burnham-On-Sea 20 years ago.
She used to play the organ for her local church and worked in a drapers shop and previously worked in the kitchen of a nursing home for many years.
