The funeral of Burnham-On-Sea’s oldest resident, who died last week at the grand age of 110, will take place on Tuesday (March 13th).
Kate Ackland – who is pictured here at her 108th birthday celebration with her family and the town Mayor and Mayoress – passed away peacefully at Holywell Nursing Home in Brent Knoll on March 2nd, where she had lived for the last years of her life.
Kate joked at her 108th birthday that a half pint of beer before bedtime was one of the secrets behind her longevity!
Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium at 11am.
