Colourful costumes of all shapes and sizes went on show when fun-loving pupils at Highbridge’s King Alfred School took part in their annual Rag Week this week.

A ‘wear what you want day’ was held on Friday (October 25th), as pictured here, when the students dressed up in a wide range of entertaining outfits.

The day was held to raise money for local charities with the aim of exceeding the previous Rag Week totals of around £3,000.

The school’s Simon Aylward told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “During a fantastically eventful week, full to the brim of fundraising amusement, the Sixth Formers at King Alfred School have been working hard to raise money for RAG week.”

“Students have been witness to exciting events such as Teacher’s Secrets, Sixth Sense and a Year 7 and 8 Halloween Disco.”

“The worthy charities are Parkinson’s UK, The National Autistic Society and Unique. A massive well done goes to all involved.”
