Hundreds of youngsters got a chance to find out about local employment opportunities when a careers fair was held at King Alfred School in Highbridge this week.
Over 20 companies, ranging from hairdressers to glaziers, plus major employers such as the NHS and BAE, held demonstrations and displays at the school on Wednesday evening (November 26th).
Head teacher Denise Hurr told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The careers fair was a great chance to show students the wide range of employment and apprenticeship opportunities that are open to them. We were pleased with the turnout of exhibitors from across the region who helped to expand students’ horizons.”
