Students at Highbridge’s King Alfred School have created a thought-provoking art display to honour those who have died for the country.
“The past and present students created the art installation to recognise the sacrifice made by those involved in conflicts across the world,” said King Alfred School’s head teacher Denise Hurr.
The eye-catching artwork, pictured here, was based on Antony Gormley’s ‘Field for the British Isles’ which consists of terracotta figures.
The school also commemorated the Armistice with a one minute silence across the site last Friday when the ‘Last Post’ was performed by three trumpeters, Annie Tiso, Ophelia Buckton and Shaun Wood.
