Highbridge’s new commemmorative Jubilee wall starts to take shape

-

A new commemorative wall which is being built in Highbridge’s Apex Park to mark June’s Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is beginning to take shape.

Following the completion of a foundation slab, a group of first and second year apprentices from Bridgwater College have started building the wall as part of their construction training.

Burnham Rotary Club’s Stuart Adams told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “About 10 students from Bridgwater College, along with their tutor and a technician, have been busy building the wall.”

Several decorated tiles created by Burnham Dreamscheme – illustrated with their interpretation of the Queen’s crown – will be fitted into the face of the wall on both sides.
