The storm-damaged surface of Burnham-On-Sea’s jetty has been repaired this week.
Strong winds, combined with high autumn tides, sent large waves onto the structure last month, as we featured here.
Beach wardens found that part of the tarmac surface had been damaged and washed away, as pictured below, and contractors were brought in to repair it.
Sedgemoor District Council, which maintains the structure, said the work has been completed at a cost of £645.
The jetty needed £80,000 of repairs several years ago when the surface was severely damaged following storms in 2007.
