Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser’s 100-mile cycle ride raises £1,500

-

Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser Jerry Cox has raised over £1,500 by completing the ‘Ride London’ bike challenge for charity.

He pedalled 100 miles in and around London to raise awareness and funds for Children with Cancer UK.

Jerry raised over £500 on his online donations page while Petal, a Burnham-based charitable group, has donated a further £1,000.

Petal: the Christine Woodberry Memorial Trust got involved after hearing about Jerry’s ride.

“We wanted to help him raise his target figure as he spent many months beforehand training hard for the challenge,” Scott Woodberry from Petal, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“His training certainly paid off and he must have loved it as he has already signed up for next year’s event.”

“Children with Cancer UK was the charity he chose due to the amazing work they do for children who are having to deal with this horrible disease.”
