Jazz In The Park draws big crowds to Burnham-On-Sea gardens

-

Hundreds of people enjoyed a great afternoon of top jazz and swing music at Burnham-On-Sea’s annual Jazz In The Park on Sunday (June 5th).

Hot sunshine and blue skies brought ideal conditions for the annual free event in the Manor Gardens with music from a line-up of well-established bands.

Mike Murphy, Chairman of organising group CADS (Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society), told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was a superb afternoon with a superb line-up of local musicians and entertainment in fabulous weather.”

Local jazz group the Stoddens Stompers started the aftermoon, followed by Rustique, local guitarist Steve Brown, Ron King’s Rythmn Kings and The Andy Leggitt Jazz Band. Refreshments and kids fun were also available.

The next CADS event will be Picnic in the Park on July 3rd, then Highbridge Music Fest at the Recreation Park in Highbridge on Sunday August 7th.
