Jazz in the Cove comes to Burnham-On-Sea gardens this afternoon
Burnham-On-Sea’s Marine Cove gardens will be hosting an afternoon of jazz and cream teas this afternoon (Sunday, 16th August).
Organised by the Friends of Marine Cove and Sedgemoor District Council, the event will be held between 2pm and 4pm.
Refreshments will be provided by the team from Burnham’s Crafty Tea Cup Cafe using their retro catering caravan while entertainment will be provided by the New Society Jazz Band.
“The event will be free to attend, with a charge for refreshments, and visitors are being encouraged to bring along the whole family, plus your own picnic if you wish and take part in some free family-friendly activities alongside the jazz,” said Community Gardener Jacqui Strong.
A second event, focusing on gardening and learning about the gardens, will be held on Thursday 20th August between 10am and midday. If you have any queries or are interested in being involved in gardening in the cove or joining the Friends of Marine Cove come along and get some tips and ideas on how to go about it. This event will be suitable for any age group.
