Members of a jazz club based in West Huntspill have raised over £2,300 for a leukaemia support group.
BD Jazz Club’s third annual ball raised £2,350 for Somerset Leukaemia Group when it was held at Webbington Country Hotel at the weekend.
Visitors were treated to entertainment from the popular group ‘Jeremy Huggett and the Dart Valley Stompers’.
‘The Clive Robertson Trio’, pictiured below, also greeted guests as they arrived with classic jazz tunes.
Committee chairman and co-organiser Diane Wilkins oversaw the event while MC for the evening was Huw Sullivan, also known as the ‘Bristol Wedding Toastmaster’.
Diane said: “It was a fabulous evening – we thank everyone who supported the event, including all the sponsors and guests. We were delighted to raise £2350 for Somerset Leukaemia Group.”
