Man "seriously hurt" in Burnham-On-Sea serious domestic incident

A man aged in his 60s was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following an assault in Burnham-On-Sea on Thursday (January 14th).

It comes after officers rushed to a “serious domestic incident” in Jaycroft Road at 4.40pm.

Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com that a man was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and was being treated for head injuries.

“A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently in custody,” confirmed the spokesman.

The victim was Peter Noad, the owner of Peter’s Hair Stylists on Cross Street. His son Lee Noad, 38, was later charged with wounding with intent and appeared before Taunton Magistrates’ Court on January 16th. He was remanded in custody and goes before Taunton Crown Court on February 1st.
